Tomis, Lower Moesia. Philip II Caesar. 244-246. Triassarion (Bronze, 25mm, 13.15 g 6). ΜΑΡ ΙΟΥΛΙΟC ΦΙΛΙΠΠΟC ΚΑΙCΑΡ Busts of Philip II, on the left, bare headed, draped and cuirassed and Sarapis, on the right, draped and with a Kalathos on his head, facing each other. Rev. ΜΗΤΡΟ ΠΟΝΤΟΥ ΤΟΜΕΩC Asklepios standing facing, his head to left, holding serpent entwined staff in his right hand. AMNG 3598. Varbanov 5787. Rare. Very sharply struck and most attractive, with a fine dark greenish-brown patina. Extremely fine.
